Set up notifications

Voysey can tell you when a render finishes or when a production needs your input, on whichever device you happen to be using: the browser at your desk, your phone, the desktop app, or a text message when you are away from a screen. Turn it on once, pick your channels, and Voysey keeps you posted instead of you sitting and watching the queue.

Channels

  • Browser: desktop browser notification when Voysey is open in a tab.
  • Mobile push: a notification on your phone (native app required).
  • Desktop app: an OS-level notification from the Voysey app.
  • SMS: a text message. Best for when you are away from any screen.

What triggers a notification

  • A production run finishes.
  • A render or export completes.
  • A production needs your input (e.g. a decision Voysey cannot make on its own).
  • A collaborator invites you to a project or comments on your work.

Setting it up

  1. Open your Account page.
  2. Go to Notifications.
  3. Turn on the channels you want. For mobile push, install the Voysey app and sign in. For SMS, add and verify a phone number.
  4. Optionally, pick which event types trigger which channels (e.g. renders on SMS, comments on browser only).
Quiet hours

Set quiet hours to suppress notifications during hours you do not want to be pinged. Runs still complete. You just find out about them after quiet hours end.
