Publish your book to the catalogue
Books by Voysey·3 min read·Updated last month
The books you make are private to your library by default. When you are ready to share one, publish it to the public catalogue and other people can find it and read it too. Change your mind later and you can unpublish it just as quickly.

How to publish
- Open the book from your library.
- Tap Publish on the delivery page.
- Review the cover, title, and blurb the catalogue will show. Edit anything that needs a polish before it goes live.
- Confirm to publish. The book is now visible in the public catalogue.
What being published means
- The book appears in the public catalogue where anyone can find it.
- Other people can read it in their own reader. They do not need a Books by Voysey account to browse, only to save it to a library of their own.
- Your name (or the pen name you set) is credited as the author.
Take it back private
Change your mind at any time. Open the book, tap Publish again, and choose Unpublish. The book leaves the catalogue and goes back to being just for you. Anyone who already saved it to their own library keeps their copy.
Sanity-check the blurb before publishing
The catalogue listing is what convinces someone to open your book. Read the auto-generated blurb before you confirm, and rewrite it if it does not do the book justice.
