Give a character a voice

Voices bring characters to life in audiobooks, narration, and film dialogue. In Voysey you create a voice, preview it, and assign it to a character so they always sound the same.

1. Create a voice

Open the Assets gallery and go to the Voice Library tab. Describe the voice you want in plain language, for example "a warm older narrator" or "a bright, energetic teenager." Voysey generates a set of options for you.

2. Preview before you commit

Each voice has a player, so you can listen before deciding. A voice that sounds great on one line can read differently across a whole scene, so listen to a few before you choose.

3. Assign it to a character

When you have a voice you like, use Assign to Character and choose the character. From then on, that character speaks with that voice across your production, so dialogue and narration stay consistent.
