Organize assets into references

Characters & assets·4 min read·Updated 4 months ago

Everything you generate lands in the Assets gallery, sorted into tabs: Recent for images, Recent Clips for video, Voice Library for voices, and Score & Music for music. A reference is a named collection of those assets that keeps related pieces together.

Why use references

  • Keep everything for one character, location, or prop in a single place.
  • Reuse the same assets across shots and productions instead of regenerating them.
  • Keep wardrobe, props, and looks consistent, because the same asset is reused rather than reinvented.

Create a reference

  1. Open the reference panel and choose New reference.
  2. Give it a name and pick a category: character, location, or prop.
  3. Choose a role for the asset you are adding, such as an outfit or a pose, then create and assign it in one step.

Add more and track usage

Add further assets with Add connection. The reference shows a Connections count and a list of the shots it is used in, so you always know where those assets appear across your work.

Tip

Name references clearly, for example by the character or scene they belong to. A tidy set of references makes everything downstream, including rendering, much smoother.
