Adjust how Voysey talks to you

Voysey's conversational style is something you can see, override, or reset at any time. Three short commands cover everything you need, and they work the same way in any conversation.

See your current profile

Send /profile in any chat. Voysey replies with the style it currently has for you, including what kind of partner mode it is in, how confident it is in the profile, and how many sessions have been calibrated so far.

Reset without losing what Voysey has learned

Send /recalibrate to drop the confidence and session count back to zero. The traits Voysey has learned so far are kept as a starting point, so the change is gentle. Voysey holds the look of your style, then re-confirms it from your next sessions.

Reach for this if your work has changed direction recently, whether a new kind of project, a different collaborator, or a different mood, and the profile is no longer reflecting how you actually want to work.

Pin a single setting

Send /override <setting> <value> to lock one trait to your chosen value. A pinned trait stays put until you change it again. Voysey's own learning will respect the pin and will not move that setting back.

Examples:

• /override verbosity terse keeps replies short.
• /override pushback_tolerance high means Voysey will not soften its disagreement.
• /override secure_base_type executor tells Voysey to treat you as the director and run your plan.

What each setting means

You can override any of these. Most people never need to, since the inferred profile usually fits, but the lever is there if you want it.

• Verbosity: how long Voysey's replies are. terse, moderate, or verbose.
• Pacing: how quickly Voysey keeps turning. rapid for back-and-forth riffs, deliberate for measured exchanges, exploratory for long thinking-out-loud sessions.
• Jargon comfort: how much domain vocabulary Voysey uses. novice, comfortable, or native.
• Pushback tolerance: how Voysey delivers disagreement. low, medium, or high. (Whether to push back is decided by the work. This is about tone.)
• Secure base type: the role Voysey takes by default. executor (runs your plan), anchor (holds the line on the vision), collaborator (works alongside you), or scaffold (provides structure when you want it).
