Choosing a content type
Creating·4 min read·Updated 4 months ago
When you start something new you choose a content type. This shapes the tools you get and the kind of output Voysey produces, so it is worth picking the closest fit.

The types
- Film: a full cinematic story with scenes, shots, and camera angles. Use this for narrative video at length.
- Short film: the same filmmaking tools, focused on a shorter, tighter piece.
- Novel: long form writing, formatted ready for e-readers and print.
- Audiobook: narrated audio. Choose a voice and let Voysey read your story aloud.
- Music: original tracks and scores.
- YouTube: video shaped for the platform.
- Social: short, vertical, mobile first video.
Some types are in beta
YouTube and Social are marked beta, which means they work but are still growing. Expect them to keep improving.
Not sure which to pick?
Pick the closest fit and start. You can always begin a fresh production in another type later, and the characters, voices, and assets you have built can come along.
