Produce a novel
Voysey writes novels end-to-end. Start with a premise, and Voysey produces the outline, drafts each chapter, revises against a running continuity ledger, and polishes the manuscript. You can steer at any point, whether through the chat, through the manuscript editor, or by re-running a phase you want done differently.
The phases
- Premise and outline. You provide a premise (a paragraph, a treatment, or just a sentence). Voysey generates a chapter-by-chapter outline.
- Drafting. Voysey writes each chapter, beat by beat, aware of what came before.
- Revision. A revision pass catches drift, tightens beats, and lands character voice.
- Polish. A final read enforces continuity and lands the prose.
Length is honored
Novels reach novel-length. Voysey enforces a length floor by genre and counts distinct beats, not padding, so the book gets to length by adding story rather than repeating itself. See Length by genre for the details.
Consistency is protected
A continuity ledger holds the canonical names, places, and established facts of your story. Characters cannot be quietly renamed between chapters, and characters who appear in a scene must exist in your cast. See How Voysey keeps your story consistent.
Working with the draft
Once the first pass is written, open the manuscript editor. Read the pages, expand the changes accordion when you want to see suggestions, and use the AI chat when you want to talk through a passage. Re-run just one phase (say, the polish) rather than restarting from the top when you want a different outcome.
Voysey will write a good novel from a thin premise, but a great novel needs a real premise. Two or three paragraphs describing what the story is about (rather than how it should be told) pays off across every phase.
