Stop a run mid-flight

Creating·2 min read·Updated 2 months ago

If a run is heading the wrong way, you do not have to wait it out. Ask Voysey to stop and the run unwinds. Anything Voysey has already produced up to the cancel point is kept, and the project state stays consistent.

How to cancel

In the chat, just say it plainly. Any of these work:

  • "Stop the run."
  • "Cancel this."
  • "Never mind, stop generating."

Voysey confirms, unwinds the workflow, and reports what was preserved.

What survives, what does not

  • Kept: outputs from any phase that had already finished, like treatments, character sheets, and scenes drafted before the cancel.
  • Discarded: the phase that was actively running when you cancelled.
Want to redo just the phase that went sideways?

Instead of cancelling and starting fresh, ask Voysey to re-run just that one phase. See Re-run just one phase.
