Color grade a shot

The Color tab in shot tools is where you set the look of a shot. Palette, contrast, warmth, tint, saturation, and grain are all adjustable per shot, with a live before-and-after so you can compare instantly.

The controls

• Exposure: overall brightness.
• Contrast: the range between darks and brights.
• Warmth: cool to warm, blue to amber.
• Tint: green to magenta, for correcting or stylizing.
• Saturation: how much color, from grayscale to vivid.
• Grain: a texture layer for film feel.
• Look presets: one-tap starting points like noir, sunset, polaroid.

Compare before and after

The before-and-after control lets you swipe between the original and your graded version. Use it to make sure the grade is doing what you intend, and not eroding detail you wanted to keep.

Per shot, not per production

Grades are per shot. Adjust one shot and nothing else moves. If you want a consistent look across a whole scene, apply the same preset to each shot. The preset is a name you can recall.
