Generate a take

A take is a single generated attempt at a shot. You can ask Voysey for as many takes as you want. The takes strip along the bottom of the shot editor shows every take you have so far, and picking one anywhere in the app updates every strip to match.

Ask for a new take

Open a shot and tap New take. That schedules a fresh render for the shot. While the render runs, the tile shows a pending state. When the frame is ready, it lands in the takes strip live, without needing a page reload.

Direct Voysey with words

The new-take button gives you a fresh attempt with the same guidance as the last one. If you want a different result, tell Voysey what to change first. In the chat on the shot, ask for the kind of take you want.

• "Give me a wider take with more of the room in frame."
• "Try a warmer color pass on this one."
• "Same composition, harder lighting."

Voysey uses that guidance for the next take. The result shows up in the strip alongside your earlier attempts.

Pick your favorite

Every take in the strip is clickable. Pick the one that lands and Voysey sets it as the shot''s selected take. That selection is shared across every surface that shows the shot, so the overview, the shot editor, and the timeline all pick up the same choice.

Under the hood

Takes are stored as per-shot assets with presigned URLs, delivered through the production manifest. That means the strip updates the moment a new take is available, without a poll or a refresh.
