Scenes, shots, angles, and takes

Films in Voysey are built from four simple pieces. Once these click, the editor makes sense.

The hierarchy
- Scene: everything that happens in one place and time, such as "INT. OFFICE, DAY." A scene holds a set of shots.
- Shot: a single piece of camera coverage within a scene.
- Angle: a different camera position or framing for the same shot. You might have a wide angle and a close angle of the same moment. The action does not change, only the view.
- Take: a fresh version of the same angle. The camera stays put, but you get a new interpretation. Generate a few takes and keep the best.
In short
A scene holds shots. A shot can be seen from several angles. Each angle can have several takes. You star your favorites as you go.
Why it is built this way
This mirrors how real productions work. It lets you cover a moment from more than one view and try several versions of each, without ever losing the original. You are always adding options, never overwriting them.
Next, see "Work with scenes and shots" to move around your film, then "Create a new camera angle" and "Generate a take."
