Install the desktop app

Getting started·3 min read·Updated 2 months ago

Beyond the web, Voysey ships as a native desktop app for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Install it once and Voysey lives in your dock or taskbar like any other app, with a frameless window that looks like part of your desktop rather than a web page in a box.

Where to download

The download page has installers for each platform:

  • Mac: a .dmg installer, Apple-signed and notarized.
  • Windows: an .exe installer.
  • Linux: an .AppImage and a .deb.

Stay signed in

The desktop app keeps you signed in for the long haul. You are not signing in every time you come back to it. Your session refreshes quietly in the background, and your credentials are stored in your device's keychain, not in the app itself.

Notifications

The desktop app can send you notifications when a render finishes or a production needs your eyes. See Set up notifications for how to turn them on and pick channels.

The desktop app is your Voysey+

It is the same product as the web, just wrapped so it fits your OS. All keyboard shortcuts, all features. Prefer whichever fits how you work. Both keep in sync.
