Read a manuscript on your phone

On your phone·3 min read·Updated 2 months ago

The Manuscript Reader on mobile is a proper paper-page layout, not a text field shrunk to fit. Chapters flow across pages you flip through with a pager, so you can read a novel on a phone the way you would read a book.

What the reader gives you

  • Paper pages: rendered like a book, not scrolled.
  • Pager: flip left / right to move through the chapter.
  • Chapter navigation: jump to a specific chapter without flipping through the whole book.
  • Comfortable typography: sized for reading, not for editing.

Where it fits in the flow

Editing a novel on a phone is uncomfortable. The reader is for the reading pass. When you want to sit with the book, catch pacing issues, or just enjoy what you have made, this is the mode. Actual editing happens back on the desktop editor.

Great for early reads with a partner

Hand your phone over. The reader gives someone else a book-like experience without asking them to learn any of the studio.
