Output settings and vanity cards
Your output settings decide the shape and quality of the finished file. Open your production settings to adjust them. The defaults produce a high quality, widely compatible video, so you only need to change these if you have a specific target in mind.
Format and quality
- Resolution and frame rate: how sharp and how smooth, from HD up to 4K and beyond, at frame rates such as 24 or 30 per second.
- Aspect ratio: the shape of the frame, such as 16:9 or a wide 2.39:1, with letterboxing options for a cinematic look.
- Format: the codec and container for the file, with common options for sharing and higher quality options for archiving.
- Mastering and color: a target such as streaming or cinema, with matching color and an option for higher dynamic range.
Leave the defaults. They produce a file that plays well almost everywhere. Reach for the advanced options only when you are delivering to a specific platform or archive.
Vanity cards
A vanity card is the short clip that plays before your story, such as a studio or production logo. In settings you can upload your own cards (common video formats, a few seconds each) and drag them to set the order. The settings show the full opening sequence and its total length.
A "Made with Voysey" card always plays last, just before your film begins. It is locked in place and cannot be deleted.
