Render and export your film
Rendering & export·5 min read·Updated 4 months ago
When your film is ready, you export it to produce the final video. Voysey assembles your shots, transitions, audio, and vanity cards into one file using your output settings.
Before you export
Two things shape the finished file, so set them first:
- Output settings: resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, and format. See "Output settings and vanity cards" for what each one does.
- Your edit: the starred take on each shot is what gets used, so make sure every shot is on the version you want.
Export
Use Export film from your production. Voysey puts the pieces together in the format you chose. A full quality render of a long piece takes time, so this runs in the background while you carry on with other work.

Tip: check before you commit
For a long film, export a quick, lower quality version first to confirm the whole thing flows and the audio lines up. Once you are happy, run the final, full quality export.
