The manuscript editor

The manuscript editor is where you draft a novel. It reads as a proper two-column layout, with the manuscript pages on the left and the tools on the right, and the tools have a height cap so long chapters do not push them off-screen. Written to feel like a workshop, not a text field.

What is on the page

• Manuscript pane: the writing itself. Wider than the old layout, easier to read at length.
• Chapter pager: flip between chapters at the top of the pane.
• Tools rail on the right: outlines, character notes, revisions, and the AI chat.
• Changes accordion: expand it when you want to see Voysey's revision suggestions, collapse it when you just want to read.

Everyday flow

1. Open the chapter you want to work on from the pager.
2. Write, or read what is there. Both are comfortable at column width.
3. When you want a pass from Voysey, open the changes accordion and see what it suggests.
4. Use the AI chat when you want to talk through a passage or ask for a different angle.
